Who is ready to kick 2020 to the curb?

Join your fellow geocachers as we ring out 2020 -- and good riddance!
This Community Celebration Event will take place at the fire ring behind the Visitors' Center at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia. If you do not have an annual pass, there will be a $5.00 fee to enter the park.
We will spend some time sharing our WORST geocaching experiences of 2020. Did you have 5 DNFs in one day? Ruin your best shoes because you "were just going to grab this cache right quick on the way home from work"? Did you get a FTF on a nano and then drop it among the leaves? Did you rip your favorite geocaching shirt because you didn't notice the "thorns nearby" attribute? Share your misery -- we promise you won't be the only one with a sad tale.
We will have some other fun activities, and you won't even have to leave your chair. Prizes will be awarded, and light refreshments will be provided.
Georgia State Parks strongly encourages guests to practice social distancing and follow guidelines for hygiene while visiting the parks.
The event will be held outside, so there will be plenty of room for social distancing. You are welcome to bring a chair and enjoy the campfire with your fellow geocachers.
Bring it, 2021!
