Come Celebrate 20+ years of Geocaching Smilies on Deas Island at the Fisher's Field picnic area. Event starts at 4 pm and will last until 6 pm but may linger on a little bit, you know how it goes: you are talking geocaches, just one more and time flies! Posted coordinates are at the covered picnic area, and we'll try to use a couple of tables there. Plenty of parking nearby.
Geocachers: Socialize with geocachers from the Lower Mainland, maybe even Vancouver Island.
Geocaching Intel: Events provide great opportunities to get intel on those impossible puzzle caches or hides!
Geocaches: In Ladner you'll find a number of different types of geocaches. Many are within a short distance and are dog friendly.
Is this where you finish up your Busy Icon Day? There are several different cache types available in Ladner: Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Adventure Lab, Wherigo, Letterbox, and this Community Celebration Event makes it 7 icons. Now you just need an event, CITO, earthcache, and virtual to make it 11!
Trackables: Drop off trackables at the event, grab a trackable you wish to move along, and discover the rest! Of course this is all optional!
Food & Drink: We'll have drinks and snacks available.
This is a low-key event, come as you are, stay five minutes or two hours, talk geocaching, find a couple caches with geocachers you just met and have fun.
