Geocache Description:

Added October 2022.  I aplogize for not including this in the original write up.  Given that this location has multiple elevation options, I encourage seekers to travel upawards and take in the view from the top level.

We all use the Interstate Highways.  Well, prior to those being built, there were neighborhoods.  At least in cities.  If you came to this spot in the early 1950s, this area would look different.  Looking west you would see houses, businesses, and the northern part of the Collinwood railroad yards.  The yard is still there, just a bit smaller.  It is south of the highway behind those businesses.  Looking east, you would have seen Euclid Creek.  It too is still there, but in a culvert under the highway.  Those pines next to the on-ramp is close to its' location.   Look west again and you see another pedestrian bridge.  That is a half sister to this one.  In 2013 the bridge here was struck by a large dump truck that was traveling west on I-90 with its' dump open.  When it struck the bridge, it stopped.  It also disloged the old bridge from the piers.  I've included photos of that time.  I also included an aerial photo from the eary 50's, prior to the highway.  Look in the gallery.

I don't ususally hide micros.  But I've been working toward a challenge cache recently and needed finds.  I was greatly appreciative of 'cache and dash' hides.  Especially winter friendly ones.  While you will need to leave your car, it's just a short walk.  And I hope you take a few minutes to imagine the neighboord prior to our highway system.

If you've read this far, thank you.  Park on Delavan Ave.  But I guess you could figure that out.

Congratulations to JimC61, FTF!
