Geocache Description:

Situated in Cathedral Canyon in the Santa Rosa Mountains (elevation 1220').

Found between claws and falls.  Brittlebush (Encelia farinosa) is a common desert shrub of northern Mexico and southwestern United States.  It is ubiquitous here in the Colorado Desert and favors the habitats of sandy washes and gravelly slopes.

Access is well off trail.  Cathedral Canyon Trail and Dunn Road are both good approaches starting in Cathedral City. You can also set up a car shuttle to connect with the Art Smith Trail.

Cache is a small tobacco tin. Bring a pen.
