This multi cache is designed to take you on a short walk around Comber so that you may learn about some of the history of the town. Parking is available throughout the town but, if you are choosing to walk, then the given waypoint near Stage 1. is a good place to start.

Stage 1.
The current Fire Station is on the original location of Comber Railway Station. Railway travel from Belfast to Newtownards, via Comber, began in 1850 and the line ran to Donaghadee and Newcastle. Stage 2.
There is no requirement to leave the footpath where you will see a memorial hall named after a famous shipbuilder.

Stage 3.
While the statue of Major General Robert Rollo Gillespie dominates the Square there is a lot more information to be found there. Please take time to read the various information boards.

E = The number mentioned in Rollo Gillespie's final words minus 1.
F = The year of Rollo Gillespie's death: the third digit.
There may be a number of muggles near the final location depending on the time of day so please use stealth.
