Trečius metus vykstantis gatvės meno festivalis „Vilnius Street Art“ ėmėsi tyrinėti kontroversiškai vertinamo Stoties rajono, keisti požiūrį į jį ir jo ribas. Užsienio menininkams patikėtos keturios didelės pastatų sienos Stoties rajone, o vieninteliam festivalyje dalyvaujančiam lietuvių menininkui Antanui Dubrai organizatoriai patikėjo išskirtinę lokaciją ir objektą – Vilniaus oro uosto teritorijoje stovintį 26 metrų aukščio bokštą.
Miestui strategiškai svarbiai vietai festivalio organizatoriai ieškojo itin patyrusio gatvės menininko – į festivalį antrą kartą buvo pakviestas bene garsiausias Vilniaus gatvės menininkas Antanas Dubra. Pirmajame festivalyje „Vilnius Street Art“ dalyvavęs menininkas ant buvusios Šv. Jokūbo bažnyčios ligoninės išpiešė daugiausia miestiečių simpatijų sulaukusį didelį šunį, tačiau pastatas vos po pusmečio buvo nugriautas. Tad festivalio organizatoriai net neabejojo, kad menininkas turi vėl grįžti dar didesniam piešiniui. Vilniaus oro uoste menininkas ant 26 metrų aukščio bokšto išpiešė mėnulį. Bokštas specialiai apšviestas, todėl kiekvienu paros metu piešinys matomas vis kitaip. Menininko darbas festivalyje „Vilnius Street Art“ ypatingas netradicine bei gana sudėtinga erdve – kad ištapytų lenktas ir itin aukštas bokšto sienas, menininkas naudojosi net dviem keltuvais. Tačiau daug ir įvairiapusės patirties turintis menininkas nesunkiai susitvarkė su sudėtinga užduotimi. A. Dubros meniniam profiliui būdingi daug darbo reikalaujantys projektai: menininkas praėjusiais metais dalyvavo Malaizijoje vykstančiame gatvės meno festivalyje „Urban Exchange“, nuolatos kuria teatro scenografiją ir kostiumus, tapo, iliustruoja, festivalio „Vilnius Street Art“ alui „Ošiančios sienos“ sukūrė etiketę. „Festivalio „Vilnius Street Art“ iniciatyva šiemet papuošti Stoties rajoną yra stebinanti ir puiki. Nors geografiškai Vilniaus oro uostas gerokai nuo jo nutolęs, tačiau ir mes esame stotis – nuolat valdome didelius keleivių srautus ir esame šalies veidas, kurį pirmąjį pamato iš užsienio oru atvykę žmonės. Norime sudaryti jiems kuo geresnį įspūdį apie sostinę dar prieš išlipant iš lėktuvo – todėl aviacijos svajonę įamžinančiam piešiniui parinkome vietą, kuri matoma iš nusileidusio ir į oro uostą riedančio orlaivio,“ – sakė Lietuvos oro uostų Komunikacijos ir rinkodaros skyriaus vadovė Indrė Baltrušaitienė.

The artist who participated in the first Vilnius Street Art festival on the former St. The hospitals of Jacob's Church drew a large dog that had received most of the sympathy of the townspeople, but the building was demolished after only half a year. So the organizers of the festival did not even doubt that the artist had to return for an even bigger painting. At Vilnius Airport, the artist painted the moon on a 26-meter high tower. The tower is specially illuminated, so the picture is seen differently at any time of the day. The artist's work at the Vilnius Street Art Festival is unique in its unconventional and rather elaborate space - the artist used two lifts to paint the curved and extremely tall walls of the tower. However, the artist, who has many and varied experience, has easily dealt with a difficult task. A. Dubra's artistic profile is characterized by labor-intensive projects: last year, she participated in the Urban Exchange Street Art Festival in Malaysia, constantly designing theater sets and costumes; “Vilnius Street Art festival's initiative to decorate the Station district this year is astonishing and wonderful. Although geographically far away from Vilnius Airport, we are also a station - we constantly manage large passenger flows and are the face of the country, the first to be seen by people arriving from abroad by air. We want to give them the best impression of the capital before they leave the plane - so we chose a place that can be seen from an aircraft landing and flying to the airport, ”- said Indrė Baltrušaitienė.
