NOATV Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ravengal: The signs in the area have been changed and moved, including the No ATV sign where this was hung. There is a new owner. So I am archiving this cache. My husband, Rangerck, hid a new cache across the road.

Geocache Description:

There are three caches hidden at th same time that can be found by walking a loop that is bit less than 3 miles long. This cache marks a trail intersection. If you start out by walking east on the road, and continue into the woods on the old woodland road, you will be doing the loop in a counter-clockwise direction. These trails are used by ATV and snowmobile riders and there is signage at the coordinates. Turn left here.

A short way down this road is a sharp right turn. In the summer, if you go straight for a short distance, you will be in an ancient maple grove.

Some parts of these old roads are muddy or downright wet in the spring. It is actually a lot easier to walk them in the winter with microspikes.

NOTE ABOUT LOCAL ROADS: The only drivable roads in the area are: Colcord Pond, Kennard Hill, Bickford Pond and Dana Weeks. The following roads are NOT PASSABLE: Devils Den, Moses Chapman, Moody, and Breakneck Hill. You will get stuck if you try any of these roads. So look at a map ahead of time.
