Geocache Description:

NOTE: The cache IS NOT located at the posted coordinates

This is a bonus cache that is available to anyone who completes the Historic Downtown Austin Stroll Adventure Lab. The Adventure Lab takes you on a journey to five downtown locations that represent important pieces of the early history of Austin. The locations, including the bonus cache, are within eight blocks of each other, and can be easily walked to in less than an hour (although completing the Adventure Lab and Bonus Cache could take over an hour depending on how long you stop at each location).

The five locations are the Old Bakery and Emporium, the Paramount Theater, the Littlefield Building, the Driskill Hotel, and the Angelina Eberly Sculpture. At each stop, you will be able to gather some information that is available, and then answer a question based on that information to move on to the next stop. The locations need to be visited in the order listed to complete the Adventure Lab.
Parking on the street is metered in the downtown area. Recommended parking is on 10th Street between Congress Avenue and Lavaca St. These are State of Texas Parking meters, which charge $1.50 per hour, and do accept major credit cards. The meters operate from 7AM-6PM Monday through Wednesday, from 7AM-midnight Thursday and Friday, and from 11AM to midnight on Saturday. Parking is free on Sunday and major holidays. Most other metered parking in the downtown area is run by the City of Austin, and costs $2 per hour.

After you have successfully answered all five questions, you will need to click on "View 5 Journal entries" on the main Description page of the Adventure Lab. Then page forward to the final journal entry by sliding your finger on your phone from right to left. There you will see a picture that has a sequence of Texas-themed symbols. Use the Puzzle Decoding Key below to decode the symbols. The answer is related to the history of Austin. Once you have decoded the keyword, enter it in the Certitude checker. If you answer correctly, you will be given the final coordinates of this bonus cache, and some information on how to find it.
