Originally this west bound service area was located as the same area as east bound service area. Due to the crowdness of the restaurant which was served both east and west bound travellers, this west bound service area has been moved about 2 kilometers toward Tokyo where this cache is located.

もともと下り線のサービスエリアは上り線と同じところにありましたが、混在緩和のため下り線が２ｋｍほど東京よりの所に移設されました。ここにキャッシュを二つ置きました。
