Geocache Description:


This cache is placed at Highlands Hammock State Park

The park is open from 8 am until sunset, 365 days a year.

A state park entrance fee is required.

 

The "Young" Hammock Trail:

The Young Hammock Trail is a 30-minute hike that walks you through a changing forest and stages of renewal that can take hundreds of years.  While this is called the "Young" Hammock Trail, you can see that time is relevant in the forest as hundreds of years is young.
