Mandrake or Mandragora, is a powerful restorative. It is used to turn people who have been transfigured or cursed to their original state. The cry of an adult Mandrake is fatal to anyone who hears it. (Hermione Granger on the properties and abilities of the plant)
The Second Year Students in the Herbology lesson at Hogwarts have been in the greenhouse repotting the younger Mandrakes but one of the Wizards has lost his Wand.
This is very bad for the young Wizard but if you can find it then this can help you cast a spell that will help you gain access to THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS.
At the given coordinates locate the Hogwarts symbol (large black H on a yellow background)and stand with your feet against it, the Mandrake should be just in front of you on the other side of the fence.
The home owner is aware and has given permission to the placement of this cache
You do not need to enter the garden area to check the roots of the Mandrake. A firm upward tug should do the trick. don't forget to look out for the lost Wand.
If you have found the Wand then take it to the Cache located 2 meters to your right and cast the spell MAGNETICUS ATTRACTIO deep into chest and the key to your Riddle should be in hand.
When Mischief is Managed, please return all the used items to their original locations when finished. The young Wizard will be very pleased that you have found his Wand.
The Cache container is 2.6 ltr and is with in a larger chest and so can take large items should you wish.
The log is a large notebook which is not a swop item and must stay in the Cache. i am happy for you to take a item from the cache even if you dont have swop but only 1 per person please.
