Placed for the 2020 MiGO Winter social, this is a regular sized cache located along the North Portage Bikeway between Constitution and Haverhill School. Trail is open from sunrise to sunset. No night caching. DO NOT STOP on Constitution Drive to attempt this cache. If you are not accessing this cache via the trailhead at Haverhill school, parking on Sussex street is the closest parking spot. (See Waypoints).
Shanghai is a city of 24 million located on the eastern coast of China where the Yangtze river empties into the East China sea. The two Chinese characters in the city's name are 上 (shàng/zan, "upon") and 海 (hǎi/hae, "sea"), together meaning "Upon the Sea". The city is home to the Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China and the second tallest building in the world. It is also typically my gateway city when I travel to China on business. There are currently 75 active geocaches within a 30 miles radius of downtown Shanghai.

In Chinese society, a red envelope or a red packet is a tradition of giving a monetary gift during holidays such as the Chinese New Year or special occasions such as a wedding, graduation, birth of a baby or finding a geocache. To start, I have included a number of red envelope gifts in the cache as swag. These contain Xiè xiè stickers (Thank you in Chinese) and Feng Shui coins (Lucky Money).
Outside container, now removed, was modeled after the Jade Budda Palace in Shanghai.
