Geocache Description:

This geocache is a field puzzle located at St. Mary’s Church Cemetery.  It will take you on a short tour of the cemetery. Please do not attempt to do this cache at night.  Lizards normally crawl around on the ground, but every 4 years they have an extra day to play, so they LEAP around all day and have fun. To start off, go to the flagpole near the fence opening at the listed cords above.  There is a large parking lot right next to these coordinates to park in.  Please be sure to park in a marked parking space.

1.  From this starting point, look around and you should spot the grave of a famous Science Fiction/Horror author who wrote the book Fahrenheit 451.  Well, it’s not exactly the grave of the famous writer, but it is someone with the same name.  Head over to this grave and take a look at the tombstone.  This person wasn’t a writer, but you should be able to figure out what his occupation was.  When you figure that out, go to the coordinates for the correct answer below:

A.  Welder    Go to N 41 23.752 W075 18.364’

B.  Fireman   Go to N 41 23.754   W075 18.275’

C.  Doctor      Go to N 41 23.782  W075 18.243’

D.  Teacher   Go to N 41 23.728    W075 18.327’

2.  Once you arrive at this next stage, you will be looking for the grave of the First Mate from the S.S. Minnow.  Once you find this grave, look at the date of birth for both names on the tombstone.  Choose from the choices below and head to those coordinates.

A.  1935         Go to N 41 23.779’ W075 18.249’

B.  1939         Go to  N 41 23.755’ W075 18.335’

C.  1944         Go to  N 41 23.818’ W075 18.289’

D.  1954         Go to  N 41 23.837’ W075 18.278’

3.  Once you get to these coordinates, look around for an unusual tombstone.  This one is not a traditional shaped tombstone, but a tombstone in the shape of an object.  Choose from the choices below.

A.  Motorcycle           Go to N 41 23.806’      W075 18.295’

B.  Truck                    Go to N 41 23.728’      W075 18.327’

C.  Butterfly               Go to N 41 23.754’       W075 18.365’

D.  Light Bulb            Go to N 41 23.795’      W075 18.243’

4.  Once you get to this next set of coordinates, look around for the tombstone of Bernard and Katherine & their children Alice, Edward, and James.  Look at the date of birth and the date of death for Katherine.  Both dates are unique, but one of them is specifically linked to the theme/name of this geocache.   Choose the year of that date from the list below.

A.   1860                    Go to N 41 23.730’      W075 18.330’

B.   1937                    Go to N 41 23.736’      W075 18.304’

C.   1879                    Go to N 41 23.752’      W075 18.338’

D.   1960                    Go to N 41 23.797’      W075 18.266’

5.  Once you arrive at this last set of coordinates, look around and you will find the Leaping Lizard.  Once you find the Leaping Lizard, you will find the cache container. Be gentle with it and please replace as found.  The geocache is NOT hidden on or near any tombstones.
