Frau Holle
Es war einmal eine Witwe, die mochte ihre hässliche, faule Tochter und nicht die schöne, fleißige Stieftochter. Die muss am Brunnen sitzen und spinnen bis ihre Finger blutig sind, während die andere nichts tuend zu Hause sitzt.
Beim Säubern fällt ihr die blutige Spule in den Brunnen hinein.
Die Stiefmutter will, dass sie sie wieder holt, sie springt in den Brunnen und erwacht auf einer Wiese wieder. Dort kommt sie der Bitte, gebackenes Brot aus dem Ofen zu holen und Äpfel vom Baum zu schütteln, nach. Sie dient der alten Frau Holle mit den großen Zähnen, schüttelt ihr fleißig das Bett, dann schneit es in der Welt.
Schließlich will sie heim, Frau Holle führt sie durch ein Tor, wobei Gold auf sie fällt, und gibt ihr auch die Spule wieder.
Die Witwe schickt ihre Tochter auch hin, doch die ist faul, denn sie hat nie gelernt, Arbeiten zu verrichten. Daher kommt sie weder den Bitten des Brotes, der Äpfel und auch nicht denen der Frau Holle nach. Zum Abschied fällt Pech auf sie, das nicht abgeht.
