Hundred Acre Wood - Piglet Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible to be Unarchived.

Geocache Description:

“I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?” — Piglet.

Piglet=6 Honey Bees

Hoffman Park is a 354-acre park which contains hardwood forests, grasslands and 32 ponds, Manny's Pond being the largest. It contains several paved and gravel trails for walking and biking. Deer hunting is allowed by permit in some sections of the park so wear blaze orange during hunting season. Hoffman Park is considered to be in bear country.

A host of different bird species can be found in the forests and fields, but Hoffman Park is probably best known among bird watchers for endangered and threatened species that nest in its grassland habitat. These include bobolinks, eastern meadowlarks, grasshopper sparrows, and savannah sparrows. Please keep pets on a leash as these birds nest directly on the ground and are highly susceptible to disturbance. The larger ponds contain bass and sunfish.

Parking at the Hundred Acre Wood parking area will bring you to a section of the Hundred Acre Woods where you can find a series of caches named after the characters of one of my favorite childhood books: Winnie-the-Pooh written by A. A. Milne and illustrated by Ernest H. Shepard.

If you are lucky enough, you may solve the mystery to find the location of Winnie-the-Pooh. Also scattered throughout the woods are a donkey named Eeyore (GC8KFRA), Kanga and little Roo (GC8KFRG), Rabbit (GC8KFR8), Piglet (GC8KD9F), Owl (GC8KDA3) and even Tigger (GC8KFRB)!

You may find yourself humming a little tune that a chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff would sing. Along the way don't be a bear of very little brain and forget to collect the clues to solve the final Hundred Acre Wood - Winnie-the-Pooh, GC8KFRT cache.
