TWC - It's Time to Duel

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. To obtain the coordinates, solve the puzzle below.

You are really excited with your friend’s unexpected arrival at your home one sunny afternoon and decided to have some fun!

You – “Ashley I challenge you to a duel, are you up for it?”

Ashley – “Absolutely - I think I have built a pretty tough deck, you won’t win that easily! There can only be one winner and you are looking at her!”

You – “Lets duel, this will be fun!”

Ashley – “I’m going first” she explains. I summon a monster face down.” Unbeknown to you, she sets ‘Exploder Dragon’ and waits for the next turn. “My turn is over!”

You – “This is going to be fun” you exclaim. With four cards already in your hand, you draw a new card. ‘Red Eyes B Dragon’, it’s a nice card to pick up, but not one to play yet. To start the game, you set a ‘Counter Gate’ trap hidden from Ashley and then play ‘Arisen Gaia the Fierce Knight’ into attack position. You attack for 2300 points, sending the set ‘Exploder Dragon’ to the grave but with no damage done to her life points. It activates a dragon ‘explosion’ effect and sends the Fierce Knight to the grave as well. A fiery start to the game.

Ashley – Quietly she draws a card, sets it face down in the spell and trap zone with a smirk of confidence, she unexpectedly ends her turn without any monsters on her field.

You – Thinking to myself, I am still on 4000 life points and need to ponder my next move. I have a hand full of spells and those red eyes looking at me, I am not too sure how this will play out. I decide to play my only possible card ‘Atlantean Pikeman’. With her field open, I chose to attack her for 1400 points, reducing her to 2600 life points. I end my turn.

Ashley – Sadly she draws a magic card and plays her ‘Polymerisation’ spell with her Elemental Hero Monsters she has been holding in her hand as much needed ingredients. With that she excitedly draws her ‘Elemental HERO Core’ card from her extra deck and lays it in attack position. She quickly sends my Pikeman to the grave and I suffer a nasty 1300 points damage.

You – I quickly draw a card ‘4 Starred Ladybug of Doom’ and play it in a semi strong 1200 defence set position. I might not be able to attack, but in this position hopefully I can keep my remaining life points.

Ashley – She draws and quickly plays her next card ‘Lusher Dragon’, a card I know well… and thankfully one that sets off my ‘4 Starred Ladybug of Doom’ sending them both to the grave. She then follows up with a nasty attack from her ‘Elemental HERO Core’ which would cause 2700 damage, except it triggers my ‘Counter Gate’ trap and I escape any life damage. With that I draw an extra card which I can’t yet play.

You – Drawing my next card, I am disappointed to see ‘Armed Ninja’ a card that hasn’t got much to offer, so I decide the best action is to set it. Thankfully I have a second ‘Counter Gate’ trap card in my hand and also a ‘Birthright’ trap and decide to set both. I need to hold my breath to see if I can survive the next round.

Ashley – With still a strong card in play, she draws another card and plays ‘Shiny Black “C” Squadder’ to the field. She attacks directly at my set monster ‘Armed Ninja’ and sends it to the grave. Quickly she follows up by playing her remaining controlled card, ‘Elemental HERO Core’ and attacks me directly. Thankfully she trips my trap ‘Counter Gate’ and it negates the effects. “Having fun yet?” she asks smugly.

You – Thankfully, with the negation of the attack, I am able to draw a card, which I can normal summon directly. I lay down ‘Hieratic Dragon of Eset’ in a vulnerable attack position. As Ashley’s battle phase comes to an end, I draw a card, ‘Hunter Dragon’. Sadly this isn’t going to be enough to attack Ashley’s remaining card, so I best lay it down in a defence set position and flip ‘Hieratic Dragon’ into a defence position as well. I end my turn. “It’s not over till its over” I quietly reply.

Ashley – She draws her next card and after some pondering, lays down ‘Darklon’ directly. She follows this up by attacking my ‘Hieratic Dragon of Eset’ with her ‘Shiny Black “C” Squadder’ and sends it to the grave thankfully with no life point damage. However she then follows up with a second attack using her ‘Elemental HERO Core’, sending ‘Hunter Dragon’ also to the grave and then without taking a breath uses ‘Darklon’ to attack directly for 100 life points of damage.

You – Sitting on 2600 life points, but no monsters in play, I know I have to try and find some magic. I draw a card ‘Summoned Skull’. Thankfully!! This will go nicely with the ‘Polymerisation’ spell and the red-eyes I have quietly been holding onto. You play the ‘Polymerisation’ and use the ‘Summoned Skull’ and ‘Red Eyes B Dragon’ as ingredients from the hand (sending to the grave) to summon a powerful fusion monster from your extra deck, “B Skull Dragon” onto the field. I know that the attack is powerful enough to eliminate the ‘Elemental HERO Core’, however I need a follow up attack to cause damage and so you activate your trap ‘Birthright’. This magically brings back ‘Hieratic Dragon Eset’ from the grave to the battle field ready to attack.

I start my attacked with my ‘B Skull Dragon’ and excitedly target the ‘Elemental Hero Core’, which has been plaguing you all game. But just as you are about to celebrate, the trap Ashley set earlier in the game, flips over ‘Magic Cylinder’, a disastrous revelation as this returns the entire attack strength of my monster as battle damage against myself, destroying my remaining life points and ending the game.

Ashely – “You can’t win them all. What a duel!”
