🌈 The Rainbow trailhead is one of the under-appreciated access points on the Turnagain Arm trail. This is one of our favorite spots for a cardio hike any time of year- but especially in the winter.
🌈 Heading towards McHugh, you will enjoy this first stretch of the trail where the babbling Rainbow Creek welcomes you into the forest.... Be sure to continue past the bridge for more great caches and many gorgeous viewpoints (especially after you get your uphill workout in the first mile).
🌈 The cache has room for tiny swag and geocoins... and a small FTF prize (if the Leprechaun's haven't gotten there first!). The coordinates bounced a lot for me, so feel free let me know if you get better ones.
🌈 Always keep an eye out for wildlife, and CITO any trash you find to keep it beautiful for everyone.
