The Giddings Chamber of Commerce & Visitor's Center is located inside the historic Schubert-Fletcher House, built in 1879 by August Schubert for his wife and 10 children. The Visitor's Center contains information about Lee County and Giddings. The Lee County Museum is also inside the white, two-story house, which has many interesting exhibits. Across the street is the beautiful red brick Lee County Courthouse. Also on the square is the Presbyterian Church (1886). Standing on the corner of Grimes and Hempstead is like stepping back in time, surrounded by these three historic buildings.
The Lee County Museum geocache is located outside on the property of the Schubert-Fletcher House.
