For Valentine's Day weekend we are in the area for the annual Ice Walk. We decided to go to Shediac for our dinner and afterwards noticed the new Hardware Store. We checked the GPS and discovered there were no caches nearby, so we decided to place one here for the enjoyment of others. We picked out our spot and drove near it. As we were gathering supplies and ensuring there was a clean log sheet in the cache a car pulled up behind us blocking us in. Seconds later we noticed the pretty red and blue lights reflecting on the snow all around us.
We decided it was probably best to wait in the car to see what the nice officer wanted. After checking us out and asking a few questions, we were quite relieved to know that he understood what geocaching was and suggested we use "near the police station" as a hint for other searchers. The good news is now the neighbours are fully aware of the cache and will probably get much enjoyment out of watching you search for it.
