Australian Pelican Pelecanus conspicillatus

 

Very large and distinctive black-and-white pelican. Enormous bill with characteristic throat pouch. Usually found near water, both marine and inland waterways. Becomes tame around boat-ramps and fishing spots. Perches on lamp-posts.
