Many of the fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm are well known today. Several have been adapted into Disney movies, while others are classic children's stories. However, they've evolved over the years, and often, the modern versions are a far cry from the originals.
Unlike many of the more popular Grimm tales, Rumplestiltskin has not evolved very much, perhaps because it hasn't been made into an animated movie. If you played out what you remember of the story in your head, chances are it's not too far off from what the Brothers Grimm wrote.
