It's that time of year again for one of my favorite events . . . pie/PI Day! On Saturday, March 14, we will meet from 6-8 pm at DorLo (Pizza), 1211 Orange Rd (where Union Street meets Orange Street and becomes Orange Road), Ashland, Ohio. We have permission to use the corner meeting room and bring in pies, which is very generous since most eateries will not let you bring in food. I will buy two or three pizzas (depending on the size of the group), and if other attendees would bring a dessert pie (or veggie pie) that would be great. We can get drinks individually and/or ice water. This gathering will include lots of geochatter, between bites of pie. Bring trackables to be discovered or moved along, and questions that others may be able to answer. Sometimes a souvenir is awarded for attending an event or finding a cache on PI Day, but I am not aware that one is being offered this year, 2020 (perhaps because one is being offered on Leap Day, Feb. 29). As you log your "will attend," if you know what type of pie you might bring, please include just to give others some idea of variety. (The regular monthly GeoChat Ashland should take place the following Tuesday, March 17, at Fiesta Charra. Check the events listing for details.) Hope to see you March 14 . . .
