This cache is located at the site of the Artane school of music, home to the renowned Artane band. Initially a boys band founded in 1872 it has become most famous for appearing at Gaelic matches at Croke park and other venues to play the national anthem and lead the teams in a parade before matches start.
The band now has both boys and girls as well as a senior band for those who graduate and want to continue their musical journey through life.
The band has made appearances at many events such as the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ireland, The St. Patrick's day parade, the 2009 Oxygen festival, the Late Late Show and also appeared in the music video to "Sweetest thing" by rock band U2.
The band recently celebrated their 130 year partnership with the GAA and 150th anniversary. They have travelled all across Ireland and also to other places to perform such as Boston, Nice and Liverpool.
The school of music teaches people of all ages, gives tuition in most instruments and also has a community choir.
The cache is easily accessible at any time but requires some stealth to avoid muggles who may be living in the houses nearby or making their way to and from various musical lessons. The cache does not require you to enter the grounds of the school of music but if you are lucky you may just hear some music playing from inside the building.
