This is another cache to commemorate our first hike of Reche. You can sit on the rock that looks like a bum seat and get a gander at Baldy, Keller, San Bernardino and Gorgonio. It's beautiful up here, but a tough hike for me.
The cache is a camoed plastic container hidden under the "seat." FTF can take the $1 and the little black pill box geocache container. There is a log and pen and a few other nonsense items.
This mountain is open to the public, but finding public parking is the issue. See "one possible parking place" below for the best place I have found to park from this side of the mountain. From there hike north looking for switchbacks along the mountain (there are several). When we went to Stone Mountain Rd. (which used to be recommended on some hiking sites) it was closed with several uninviting "no trespassing" signs and broken glass on the fence.
