Fern the forest fairy was meandering along the branches through the trees near here one misty evening, thinking that the area makes for a beautiful backdrop for the 6th Victorian Mega Event. Suddenly a disembodied voice of an ancient philosopher dispensing wisdom from the ether disrupted her reverie and cut through the normal serenity...

“Study the past if you would define the future.”

said the voice... there was a few seconds pause, then second voice said...

“So many things happen for every event, and if you try to manipulate it, it means you are struggling against the whole universe, and that's just silly.”

The area went eerily silent with all the usual undercurrent of noise of life suddenly being muted as if the whole forest was holding its breath in anticipation. From the gloom Fern saw a some feint glowing writing appear on a rock. She quickly climbed down from the tree and jotted the text down just as it faded away and the forest slowly exhaled and returned to normal.
