My grandson, known as ‘Nate The Great’ by the family, has members of military and police/firefighters in the last 3 generations or more on both sides of his family tree. His dad is a teacher and mom works for a community non-profit so he has lots of living examples of ‘community helpers’ in his life. When he was 5 he decided to adopt a local fire station. He takes baked treats or handmade cards and pictures to thank the firefighters year round not just at holiday time. We thought a series of caches within sight of stations, bases and other work places where community helpers are found was a good idea. Head 4 the light of the green space.
