The Colo River
The Colo River is a well kept secret mainly known by locals and regular visitors. The river is unique as it is a pristine and wild river on the border of Sydney, only 1.5 hours (65 kms) from the CBD.
The name “Colo” is derived from the aboriginal word for Koala.
The river was one of the first explored following white settlement of Australia and has a long history that is of significance to the local aborigines and the white settlers alike. It is the home of bass and platypus.
The river descends 214 metres over its 86-km course, and is fantastic for canoeing, bushwalking and swimming.

I was chatting to one of my grumpy old mates on the phone the other day after he HGBM. It had been quite a while since I had seen him, so he invited me over but reminded me to BYOT. All of a sudden he says GGPBL, it sounded serious so I said goodbye and told him I hoped it CBM. I jumped in the car but noticed a group of children on my property as I drove out and asked them to GOML, and added FWIW and drove on.
On my way over I called another grumpy old mate and asked him come along and BTW, unfortunately he couldn’t come as he was going to a BFF. When I arrived my friend was telling his son something about WIWYA. He looked very uncomfortable and said GHA, but I had to ask IMHO, what was the matter.
