This wherigo will take you on a walking tour of the The Red River Journey located just outside the Oklahoma History Center. It is a relaxing one-quarter-mile walking tour that replicates the Red River Valley along Oklahoma’s southern border with Texas. Along with a great exploration of Oklahoma's historical landmarks, the Red River Journey offers visitors a sample of Oklahoma’s diverse terrains as well as indigenous trees, flowers, and plants.
- The Red River Journey is located outside of the museum and is available 24 hours a day.
- There is no need to enter the museum to complete this wherigo. However, if you would like to take a 3D virtual tour, click here to visit their website.
- You will begin at the Civilian Conservation Corps statue and walk east along the pathway. Here is a map of the grounds for your convenience.
- This wherigo is also wheelchair accessible except for the final location.
If you did a speed run, you could probably finish the wherigo portion in 10-15 minutes. If you're not in a rush, come on out and enjoy a stroll through the botanical garden and see some highlights from Oklahoma history while you cache!
