Taking a drive on a country road, Eungella Dam is..... well your almost there. Follow the arrow (after you find the cache) and you will soon be at the day use/camping grounds area.
As the roads are dirt remember to drive to prevaling conditions and your ability. A car can do this trip- when its been raining the roads can be more slippery. Trucks use this road daily
A small cache to guide your way to this gem of a place. Popular camping area for fishermen and women, as well as families enjoying skiing and tubing, kayking or just plain relaxing. I'm told over 50 sites so you should be able to find a place to suit you. We have our favourites for camping and day use.
Eungella Dam has flushing toilets (2020), lots of places to set up for a picnic, over night stay or longer camp- permits are avalible from Sun Water web site
Eungella Dam is a stocked fresh water fishing haven, The dam is stocked with sooty grunter, barramundi and sarratoga. The remains of drowned trees and around some of the larger rocks are the spots. The boat ramp is good quality and depending on the water level, will not cause any issues. Kayak fishing is a great way to fish this dam too, as you can get in among the trees or up the inlet to target spots the power boats can't easily get to.
