The "100 of Historical Architectures Series" are one hundred historical buildings selected by the Cultural Construction Committee of the Executive Yuan of the Republic of China in 2001. The activity was first selected by all counties and cities handle the ten scenic spots in Aug. 2001. At that time, there were 25 districts in the administrative division, so 250 scenic spots should be selected. Zhubei Lianhua Temple's architecture has been rebuilt many times by the Qing Dynasty, Japanese rule, and the National Government. The Sanchuan Hall has retained the traditional wooden frame and appearance. The archway is constructed of stone with carved stone windows. Today, because Lianhua Temple is located at the starting point of the local Wenshan Trail, it is not only the core of the belief in Hsinchu, but also one of the local residents' walking and hiking spots on holidays. There is a healthy walkway on the left side of the temple, which can be climbed up to the landscaped garden of the mountain behind the temple. There is a pavilion "Lianhua Pavilion" to rest in, and the inscription "Lianhua Temple History" for visitors to understand the history of the temple. The whole piece of stone carvings such as the Nine Dragon Wall and Zodiac signs are for tourists to enjoy.
