Mt Huon Park and Mt Huon Circuit were derived from the name of the Dairy Farm that was located nearby, closer to Macarthur Square. The Dairy was associated with Glen Alpine House and also supplied the small developing town at the time. Vast views of the surrounding area can be seen from the top of the reserve
