Geocache Description:


This journey takes you to the eastern side of the Major Michael Donnelly Land Preserve located in South Windsor.

This 115.5-acre preserve (comprised of meadows, hardwood forest and a pond) is named in honor of Air Force Major Michael Donnelly. He is a Veteran and casualty of the Persian Gulf War. As a result of his brave and selfless service in the Persian Gulf War, he contracted ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Sadly, Major Michael Donnelly passed away in June of 2005.
