The “Null” Knoll.
The word Null is defined as invalid or non-existing. Try as you may to find the name of what appears to be one of the largest knolls on the Markagunt Plateau, you will return simply with, “null.”
Located in the center of a massive lava field, this geocache will surely be a challenge to reach. Depending on which direction you approach the cache from, (West is recommended), there could be up to a mile or more of jagged lava rock in your path. That being said, please be careful. Bring lots of snacks and water, wear long pants, and have good shoes.
This cache is not for the faint of heart! Be prepared for anything!
I wouldn’t recommend attempting the hike during the winter as the snow can hide deep holes within the jagged rocks. The cache will remain open and available year round if a brave individual with snow shoes would like to attempt it. As daring as I am however, I wouldn’t even hike out there during periods of heavy snow coverage.
This cache will be the starting location of my travel bug, “Remote Remote” (TB9FWAD).
