OK, If you pulled into this rest area looking for a cache to fill Indiana or Elkhart County on your map, this will do it. In addition to that, this one will also give you the rare placed on Leap Day cache which are at least 4 times more rare than the other 365 days of the year. They are probably even more rare in northern Indiana as most of the geocachers are only 3 season geocachers. I have also included some negative icons that are pretty rare based on my finds, but are true on this one.
The Public Service Announcement part is that if you are at this rest area, you are currently less than a mile and a half from Indiana's oldest cache (GC93). This one was placed on 10/23/2000 and currently has over 800 favorite points. Soooo..., if you have an extra half hour, key in GC93 on your device and get off at the next exit.
I know this is just a rest stop cache, but if any of the above was a help on your geo cache quest, consider throwing a favorite point this way. Be careful as you cross the truck parking area if you walk to this one. As they used to say when I was in the Navy, "Keep your head on a swivel". This one is small so bring your own pen. It may be hard to reach if you are shorter than 5'6" so bring a TOT with you if you are short. Please replace exactly where found or it will get muggled. Trucks pull up here all the time and can see the container if you put lower.
I am including a gold dollar coin for the FTF.
