This cache has been placed on behalf of the 2nd Akrotiri Guides as part of their work towards their Geocaching Badge and will be maintained by us.
The site is of a shipwreck which ran aground during a storm in the 1970s and is a fantastic place to come and visit to take photos, especially at sunset or when the wind is up giving some amazing waves.
Access to park (about 100m from the cache) is accesable by car from the main road into Akrotiri. However, once leaving the road, drive carefully to avoid the pot holes and don't take any photgraphs until you reach the sea so as not to upset the military in the area.
This is one of the few caches in Cyprus that snakes shouldn't be a problem (although I'd always keep a good lookout). However, during the winter months it is Mosquito hell so be ware.
