This cache is to celebrate the Ravenclaw house of the wizarding world of Harry Potter. This series idea was thought about by M of HMPSseekers who also created the caches as she is a huge fan of HP and everything Hogwarts.
This cache was placed to honour the Ravenclaw House from the Harry Potter Universe on "Ravenclaw Pride Day" and was originally published on Monday 23 March 2020. The Ravenclaw Pride Day is celebrated every 23rd of March each year.
Rowena Ravenclaw’s story is the saddest and most enchanting of the Hogwarts founders. She built Hogwarts alongside the other three founders. Her daughter Helena is the Grey Lady, ghost of Ravenclaw Tower. Harry learnt her sad story while tracking down the magical artefacts that Voldemort made into Horcruxes, including Ravenclaw’s lost diadem.

Ravenclaw is one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Its founder was the medieval witch Rowena Ravenclaw. Members of this house are characterised by their wit, learning, and wisdom. The emblematic animal symbol is an eagle, and blue and bronze are its colours. The Head of Ravenclaw is Filius Flitwick and the house ghost is the Grey Lady, otherwise known as the daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, Helena Ravenclaw.
Ravenclaw corresponds roughly to the element of air, and it is for that reason that the House colours were chosen; blue and bronze represent the sky and eagle feathers respectively, both having much to do with air. The Ravenclaw points hourglass contains blue sapphires.

Parking is available in the nearby layby on the same side of the road. It’s then a quick walk to the cache or it's on a public bridleway so you can ride your horse at the same time if you like! The cache is a small round pot with blue tape around it to celebrate Ravenclaw.
