Geocache Description:

The Playhouse theatre was built by the members of the Hottentots Holland Dramatic Society, which is a registered Non-Profit Organisation. The land it was built on belonged to the municipality. Many years later the Society succeeded to buy the land from the municipality for a very meagre amount and it now belongs to the members completely.

The theatre was designed by Architect Harry Hargreaves and was built in stages, as money became available.

The auditorium consists of 198 comfortable theatre seats.

This is another cache in Somerset West to help residents explore their neighborhood, and visitors to discover some hidden gems.

The cache is placed in the back parking area, open to the road and will assist you in being stealthy - you can park close to it.
