Founded in 1904, Kingsville's development as a thriving community was thanks to the massive efforts of Robert J. Kleberg and Heneritta King of the world famous King Ranch, which today is larger than the state of Rhode Island. Seeking to foster community and economic development in the untamed "Wild Horse Desert", Mrs. King donated land which became the site of a railroad hub, and later, the site of the present day City of Kingsville. The ranch's support and influence have left an indelible mark on the city and culture that continues to flourish today.

The cache is a camoflage taped peanut butter jar secured to a hardy bush that lives well in the hot dry climate of South Texas. It is secured to the bush to help discourage the occasional ghost from gaining control of the cache. The cache does contain swag and a log, but not a pen.
