We will be hosting a community Celebration Event to Celebrate 21 years of Geocaching.
Geocaching may have started in May of 2000, but we have been geocaching since May 2005. We have enjoyed the many caches we have found, the traveing adventures we have taken, but most of all the friendships we have formed. We had planned to attend the Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration in Seattle August 2020, but due to the pandemic, it has been postponed until 2022. We are still planning on attending next year, but why wait to celebrate with our local friends from Iowa and surrounding states.
Agenda:
10am - greeting and coordinate sheets will be handed out. Caches should publish at 10:30.
10:30 - Enjoy 25 caches placed in the park and on the newly finished bike trails. There will be a variety caches including a lab cache and gadget caches as well as a 5/5 cache.
4pm - Return to the shelter for door prizes.
4:30pm - We will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner. Note: please include the # of persons in your group on your WILL ATTEND log so we know how much food and water to bring. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, potato salad, cookies, water.
Restrooms available.
We will be at the shelter from 10 - 12:30 and from 3:30 - 6 if you need anything.
Some totts required for caches may include bike or good walking shoes, boat, tweezers, pen.
