"Please do not attend if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 (symptoms of COVID-19), if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or if you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days."
Every person age 2 and older is required to wear a mask on properties and lands controlled by the federal government — including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation projects — when physical distancing of six feet or greater cannot be maintained.
Masks are required to be worn while inside any building or structure including visitor centers, lobbies, offices, comfort stations, bathhouses, etc. While outdoors, masks are required when social distancing of six feet or more is difficult or not possible. This may include when hiking on trails that may be popular or crowded.
We are in a new location and on a different date, but it will be the same fun!
WHEN: Saturday, October 9th, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
WHERE: NEW LOCATION - Aux Arc park and Campground (South Park) : Pavillion PS03
The posted coordinates will take you to a pavillion at the Aux Arc park just south of Ozark, Arkansas.
Aux Arc Campground sits on the shores of Ozark Lake in the picturesque Arkansas River Valley. "Aux Arc" is a name that originated with French explorers when they mapped the territory. The term means "the big bend," describing the bend in the Arkansas River. Over time, the name was simplified to "Ozark," thus the name for Ozark Lake.
We have also provided additional coordinates to the parking lot.
We recommend bringing your own lawn chair and anything else that will help you to be comfortable in the outdoors in October.
We will have a hot dog cook out for our noon meal.
If you would like to sign up to bring any of the following please email us at ddspicer@gmail.com or send a message to us on Geocaching.com

Cache Ca$h Dash & Cache Ca$h Auction
The premier event will be the Cache Ca$h Dash and the Cache Ca$h Auction.
There will be caches placed the day of the event. Those who choose to participate in the Cache Ca$h Dash will receive a Cache Ca$h Dash game sheet the day of the event that will have the details on how to find the caches. Once all of the caches have been found and the participant provides proof with their game sheet they will receive a sealed envelope containing "Cache Ca$h" (specially marked play money).
Participants will then be able to use their Cache Ca$h to bid on items up for auction in the Cache Ca$h Auction. The twist: you will not be able to see the item up for bid because it will be placed inside a container and the auction will end without notice.
Participants will also be able to do what ever they want to do with their Cache Ca$h by using it, giving it away, or pooling with others to bid on items.
Geo-Bingo
Attendees will be given a "Geo-Bingo" form and attempt to get signatures on their form from those cachers that match the category listed. Those who successfully compete their form and turn it in will be entered in a prize drawing.
Photo Contest
We love to take photos while out caching and we know many of you do also. We thought this would be a great time to show those photos off.
The contest rules are simple:
(1) The submitting cacher must have taken the photo
(2) The photo must have been taken while geocaching
(3) Entries will be limited to 3 photos per cacher
Bring your favorite photo(s) to be displayed It's up to you how you present the photo (frame, matted, etc.). Those attending will be allowed to vote for their favorite. If you plan on bringing a photo to submit for the contest please place a label on the back of the photo/frame with your name, Cache name, and waypoint for the photo.
PHOTOS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 12 NOON.
Cacher Chaos
Cachers will receive an envelope containing 20 copies of one word/symbol. The goal is for the cacher to keep one of their copies of the word/symbol in their envelope and then trade their extra copies with other cahcers for the other words/symbols and complete a compete set of 20 different words/symbols. FAIR WARNING THERE MAY BE A COUPLE OF TWISTS THIS YEAR!
If you had the chance to see this game played at the previous events in Paris you know why we call it "Chaos".
Creative Cache Container Contest
Create a unique and creative cache container and bring it to the event to show off. Attendees will be allowed to vote for their favorites. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. It's not required, but if you would also like to "donate" your cache container as a door prize let us know.
CREATIVE CACHE CONTAINER SUBMISSIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 12 NOON.
Closest to the Pin Contest
Participants register and are given coordinates and a flag. Participants then place their flag where they belive the coordinates are located. Prize for the closet to the pin. How close can you get?
