4:14am-6:13am Pacific time
Welcome to Seattle
For my community Celebration Event I want to share with all of you one of the most beautiful views in all of Seattle area, the Sunrise over the city.
This event is not for the faint of heart, if you choose to accept this mission you will have to get up way before the sun does and make it out here to get ready to watch the sunrise over the city. The view will start out with the skyline all in lights and slowly change over to the day. This will be a great opportunity to do some timelapse photography all the while sharing some of the most scenic caching trips stories you have.
What should you bring? Something warm is most defiantly a must. This will be starting way to early in the morning on the shoreline with most likely wind, so chilled you will be. Your favorite warm drink. I would think about providing something, but the truth is IT IS WAY TO EARLY FOR ME!!! I will be focused on meeting all of you and taking some amazing sunrise photos. So that leads me to the last thing you would want to bring, cameras! Bring your best photo equipment to capture the amazing view and watch the city go from night to day. Also this location on this day the sunrise will be at 71 degrees in the sky, that is directly behind the skyline of Seattle.

About the event/sunrise:
Astronomical twilight 4:14am
Nautical Twilight: 4:59am
Sunrise: 6:13am

Astronomical twilight
occurs when the Sun is between 12 degrees and 18 degrees below the horizon. Astronomical dawn is the time when the center of the Sun is at 18 degrees below the horizon. Astronomical dusk is the instant when the center of the Sun is at 18 degrees below the horizon.
Nautical Twilight:
Begins in the morning, or ends in the evening, when the geometric center of the sun is 12 degrees below the horizon. In general, the term nautical twilight refers to sailors being able to take reliable readings via well known stars because the horizon is still visible, even under moonless conditions.
Sunrise
is the moment when the upper rim of the Sun appears on the horizon in the morning. The term can also refer to the entire process of the solar disk crossing the horizon and its accompanying atmospheric effects.
