Many of you are aware that I have moved away from the Quad Cities area. Because of COVID, I never got a chance to have a proper goodbye. So here I am, two and a half years later holding my goodbye event. Goodbyes are hard, but they aren't forever. For example, here I am back in the Quad Cities for a visit. I actually return several times during the year, I just haven't had the forethought to plan an event. So, this event is also a "Hello! I'm back for a visit to see some old friends."
I'd like to say my goodbyes and hellos with a tradition started by Quadsinthemudd and continued by me while I was living in the area - the annual Winter Wonderland event at Locomotive Park in Lewiston. The lights are bright and cheerful, and the fire is warm. It's the perfect atmosphere to get together and celebrate the season and talk geocaching.
This event is outside, so make sure you dress appropriately for the weather. Some years it's been in the 40s, others below freezing. I will bring my stove and try to have some hot chocolate and cookies available.
Where: The fire at Locomotive Park, Lewiston
When: Thursday, December 22, 2022 - 6pm - 8pm
