Come join us for a Community Celebration “Stone Soup” Style!
This Fall, we are doing something a little different. DJBTex has joined with us to host this Community Celebration Event. As a way to build community, we are asking you to help out. Have you heard the tale of “Stone Soup”? We are going to do something like that for the meal for this event. K13 will have two pots set up for making “Stone Soup” (one vegetarian/vegan and one with meat for the rest of us). Here’s where you come in. We are asking that you bring canned veggies for the soup pot. Bring whatever kind of veggies you like (or just have too many of in your pantry). Please bring at least two cans for each person in your group. You will add one can to the pot, and the other will be set aside. This will ensure we have enough soup to feed everyone who attends, and any unused cans will be donated to a couple organizations that help those in need.
WE ASK THAT IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK OR ARE EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19, PLEASE STAY HOME!!
There will be a CITO across town earlier in the morning (GC9FTME), as the first part of this September Saturday of Geocaching fun.
We will gather outdoors at the covered area next door to Action Automotive for a bowl of ‘Stone Soup’. We will start gathering around 12:15pm and the cooking will start shortly thereafter. We will finish our lunch activities some time around 2:45pm.
Please bring your chair, your drinks, and your geocaching stories - We will provide the ‘stones’, meat, pots, bowls and spoons.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE LOG YOUR ‘WILL ATTEND’ SO WE CAN MAKE SURE TO HAVE ENOUGH BOWLS, SPOONS & EXTRAS FOR EVERYONE.
