The Return of Social Geocaching!!
After the last 18 months that I'm sure we'd all rather forget (but which we'll probably always remember!!), "Community" has been restored to us, and we're now allowed to meet up and socialise once more! Hallelujah!!
In celebration of this joyous fact, this Community Celebration event cache (awarded in 2020 but previously unused due to COVID-19), is a chance for any and all Geocachers to come together, share a few drinks, share a few stories, share a bite to eat and share a few laughs. A good number of the EBBC local caching group will be there, but everyone is welcome to come along to say "Hi", swap some TBs and stay for as long (or short) as you like.
The selected pub location has a lovely large covered outdoor space and offers great food & drink options. Some tables have been reserved for us, but the staff are aware of the event and are ready to accommodate more people if necessary, should more space be needed. The pub has a large free car park and is very accessible for wheelchairs - it also a play area for kids, so little'uns are welcome too, as are well behaved dogs on leads.
There is a decent variety and number of trad/mulit/puzzle caches nearby, both stand-alones and a couple of series, so feel free to arrive early and pick a few up, or even grab a few after you leave.
WHERE: The Palmer Arms, Village Road, Dorney, SL4 6QW.
WHEN: Tuesday 17th August, from 1830 onwards - no hard finish, but the event requests an end time.
Come and say "Hi" - the more, the merrier!
