Geocache Description:

31 January 2021, 09:00 - 11:00

Let's Celebrate! Let's Get Connected!

Geocaching is all about connectivity across the planet, underwater and outer space, and what it brings to individual geocachers, families and communities. How it enhances social, physical and mental wellbeing. All those scrapes and bruises, sweat-streaked faces, huge grins and evil nanos. And, oh, those smilies. Those precious smilies smiley Caching buddies, groups, geomobiles, challenges by road, foot, pedal, paddle or under saddle. Muggles you met along the way, and sometimes converted to our game.

The connections you've made since 2002 all began in early September 2000 with the registration of and explosion of the world wide web. In a data driven world we can still say that geocaching connects people on the ground across time and space. That it brings people out of houses and on to beaches, scrambling over rocks, and scratching under trees. Perhaps you've heard tales of puzzles conquered, fitness goals achieved, friends made, food shared, and other personal geo-achievements? Maybe you have a tall tale of your own to share?

Something for you to think about before the event... What is the most satisfying geocache you have logged? And why you feel that way? Was it the cache, the adventure, or something else.

Bring your sense of fun, stories, snax, and  hats. A few prizes and all that! Facilities are available in Fernvale and near GZ. Let's get social, let's get connected, let's celebrate this fab geo-game smiley
