Okay, I know what you are thinking, but this is Big Sandy wash comes into the Big Sandy State wildlife area, so B.S. at B.S. Big Sandy is a state wildlife area open to the public for hiking, hunting and dog training. To get to this cache, you need to go across the Salinas River, but not to worry, most of the time it is dry and only flows after a very wet season. Best to not go directly to this as there is a steep and dangerous dropoff. From the parking area, go beneath the yellow swing gate and follow the path to the base of the hill. Turn left and work your way across the ?river? to its other side, then head towards the cache.
I have seen rattlesnakes a few times on Big Sandy so be on the lookout.
