Storyline:
The lives of three siblings are disrupted when their recently widowed mother declares she's in love with a new man. The ensueing tangled web of secrets, lies, rivalries and betrayals eventually leads to a murder.
Or does it?
You will need to watch the four episodes to find out.
Locations:
Many of locations within the storyline are based local to Eastbourne.
Vivien's and Mary's houses are located just south of this geocache in Norman's Bay. A short way east of Pevensey Bay.
Locals will also recognise the scenes shot at Birling Gap ("A large glass of House White, please") and Belle Tout Lighthouse (the picnic). With the latter overlooking Beachy Head Lighthouse.
Locals will also recognise that the road along which Vivien and Mark drive the sports car is between Birling Gap and Belle Tout Lighthouse.
Visitors to Eastbourne may be disappointed that they can't find the sandy beach shown in some of the episodes. You will need to go to Camber Sands (aka Greatstone Beach) to enjoy the sand and dunes there.
Not far from Camber Sands is Lydd Airport (aka Ashford International Airport. Yes, Really!). If it takes your fancy, you can indeed fly from Lydd Airport to Le Touquet (aka Plage Paris / Paris Beach). For a day of caching in France, perhaps?
The scene where the husband meets the woman in a pub is filmed in Farningham in Kent.
Please let me know if you have identified other locations so that I may add them to the list of waypoints.
The cache:
The cache is a specimen tube placed at ground level.
If you want to have a stroll around the area, please park here: N 50° 49.274 E 000° 22.650 (10 cars).
This parking area avoids driving down the narrow roads past and through Norman's Bay. And the views to and from the cache should be amazing!
(NB: after hearing concerns from a much-respected geocacher, the originally suggested parking area co-ordinates have been removed.)
