This is a powertrail series for those who are willing to get out of the car. (EMN 8 to 25) Some are in the valley and some require a significant hike up rocky mountains. This series is not for the faint of heart. I shouldn't have to include the obvious advice such as watch out for snakes, take some water if you are hiking in the summer. You also may want to pack a sandwich or protein bar or two. Don't eat yellow snow if you are hiking in the winter. Watch your footing in rocky, shale areas. etc. etc. This is a beautiful country in it's own way. Rolling hills in the desert with lots of rock formations. If you do the entire series in one outing, it will take a portion of the day and you will walk a couple or three miles. There is some variety in the D/T ratings. When looking try to think like a geocacher, which I am although my mind can at times be a little cloudy. Remember the EMN stands for Enjoy Mother Nature, which is a big part of geocaching in my mind. I wish you a pile of smilies.
