The footpath down to the Upper River Hamble is lined with many beautiful trees, including an atmospheric hollow surrounded by old beech trees rising out of the banks. The elements are slowly taking their toll on these magnificent trees and several have lost large branches. Lots of lovely little nooks for hiding a cache.... the double trunked beech you are looking for rises up behind a felled trunk. Note that the path up from the river very often resembles a small stream so sturdy footwear or wellies are advisable.
*New Container July 2023* This cache is still large enough for swappables.
