Geocache Description:

The Purvis City Park, which has been dedicated to the men and women who served in World War II, has been a staple for children of Purvis for as long as we've lived here. It has become even more packed with people since it has recently been renovated. There's not many times that you can ride by and not see kids running and playing, birthday parties being held, or babies being pushed in the swings. If you try and wait for nobody to be around in order to search, you may be hard pressed to find the right time. You're going to need to be extra stealthy.

The sheer number of people that come and go at this park is part of the reason it was decided that a more secure type of cache was needed. So, just like when travelers would need to solve the riddle of the Sphinx to be allowed entry into the Greek city of Thebes... you will need to solve this riddle to be allowed entry into the cache.

The combination to the lock is:

ABCD

Here are the clues:

1) C is one more than A.
2) A is twice the value of D.
3) D is ten less than A plus eight.
4) B is equal to (A + C + D) minus two.

If you have difficulty opening the lock, please contact me through the Geocaching Message Center and do not attempt to force it open.

Please make sure the lock is completely latched before leaving. Simply press and hold down the latch while rotating the combination wheels.

You're looking for a well camouflaged container. The cache contains a logbook, extra room for trackables, and lots of kid friendly swag! Feel free to take something but please be sure to trade for something of equal, or greater, value so there's always something for the kids to find. As always... please hide the cache back exactly as you found it.
